FM Search & Select are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join a large residential development in Edinburgh.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from a maintenance, FM, handyman, or building services background looking for a stable, long-term static site role within a modern residential environment.
Working as part of the on-site team, you will be responsible for ensuring the building and communal areas are maintained to a high standard while providing excellent service to residents and visitors.
The Role
Duties will include:
āļø Carrying out general planned and reactive maintenance
āļø Basic plumbing, joinery, and fabric repairs
āļø Minor electrical maintenance and repairs
āļø Painting and decorating touch-ups
āļø Supporting contractors on site
āļø Carrying out site inspections and reporting defects
āļø Maintaining communal areas to a high standard
āļø Responding to maintenance requests from residents and management teams
Requirements
āļø Previous maintenance / handyman / FM experience
āļø Good all-round building maintenance knowledge
āļø Strong customer service and communication skills
āļø Ability to work independently and manage workload
āļø Reliable and proactive attitude
āļø Full UK Driving Licence preferred
