How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Lead the development of forecasting, modelling and analytical capability within a high-growth digital infrastructure and market intelligence environment, focused on long-term demand, capacity and infrastructure planning.

Head of Infrastructure Forecasting & Analytics

London Hybrid (c.2 days per week in office)

Circa £90,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Benefits

We are partnering with a highly regarded international intelligence and media business as they build a data and forecasting platform focused on one of the fastest-growing infrastructure markets globally.

This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage and play a leading role in building the forecasting and modelling capability.

Operating within an established business but with the pace, autonomy and influence of a scaling start-up, the successful individual will help shape forecasting methodologies, analytical frameworks, product direction and long-term intelligence strategy.

The role will suit an individual who combines strong quantitative and analytical capability with commercial awareness, leadership skills and the ability to communicate complex insight clearly to senior stakeholders.

    The Role

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Developing and owning forecasting and modelling frameworks
    • Building and leading a specialist analytics capability
    • Producing market sizing, demand and capacity forecasts
    • Working closely with commercial, product, research and leadership teams
    • Supporting the integration of predictive analytics, AI and machine learning capability
    • Translating complex analytical outputs into commercially valuable insight
    • Helping shape the long-term analytical and product roadmap

    The Person

We are particularly interested in individuals with experience across forecasting, modelling, predictive analytics, capacity planning and commercially focused analytical environments. Candidates may come from infrastructure, operational, utilities, telecoms, energy, digital or other complex data-led sectors where forecasting and strategic insight play a key role in decision-making.

The successful individual is likely to possess strong quantitative grounding, ideally supported by a degree within Mathematics, Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, Engineering or a similarly analytical discipline, alongside experience leading teams or analytical functions and communicating insight to senior stakeholders. Exposure to AI, machine learning, econometrics or advanced modelling techniques would also be advantageous.

    Why Join?

    • Opportunity to build something from the ground up
    • Significant influence over product and forecasting strategy
    • Fast-growth market with strong long-term investment
    • High visibility internally
    • Combination of strategic, technical and commercial leadership
    • Backed by an established international business with significant growth ambitions
