How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We’re looking for an Import Specialist to join a high‑volume, fast‑moving supply chain team supporting EU/UK operations during a peak period. This is a great opportunity to step into a global organisation where accuracy, pace, and problem‑solving genuinely make an impact.

You’ll be part of a collaborative operations team that manages complex international shipments, works closely with logistics partners, and ensures goods move smoothly across borders. If you enjoy working in a structured environment with clear processes, but also love stepping in to fix issues when things don’t go to plan, this role will suit you perfectly.

    Title: Import Specialist

    Duration: 6‑month contract

Daily pay rate: £280 per day

Location: 5 days per week on‑site in London

    Start date: ASAP

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Reviewing commercial invoices, packing lists and shipping documents to ensure everything is compliant and correct
    • Tracking inbound shipments across EU/UK lanes and resolving delays or documentation issues
    • Supporting data reporting and shipment visibility to keep the wider team informed
    • Escalating discrepancies, compliance concerns or operational risks
    • Contributing to continuous improvement projects that streamline import operations

This is a hands‑on operational role where you’ll be the person who spots issues early, solves problems quickly, and keeps the supply chain moving.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Strong experience with EU/UK import processes and documentation
    • Background in trade compliance or customs‑related work
    • Excellent problem‑solving skills in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments
    • Confidence working with Excel and SQL to analyse data and build reports
    • A detail‑driven, analytical mindset
    • Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or similar

If you enjoy digging into data, spotting patterns, and resolving operational challenges, you’ll thrive here.
