How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Staff Assistant to the Chairman


    Location: Central London, SW1

    Working Arrangement: Office-based, 5 days per week

    Reporting to: Chairman, Family Office


    Overview


    An outstanding opportunity to join a highly entrepreneurial private family office based in Central London as Staff Assistant to the Chairman.


    Working directly alongside the Chairman and a small, high-performing team, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day effectiveness of the office and the


    Chairman’s strategic activities.


    The role combines high-level organisational support, information management, business research, and analytical responsibilities. It is ideally suited to a bright, commercially minded and highly organised individual seeking broad exposure to investing, entrepreneurship, and business strategy in a dynamic environment.


    Key Responsibilities


    • Support the Chairman across a broad range of business, administrative, and strategic activities
    • Prepare meeting materials, briefing papers, presentations, and supporting documentation
    • Coordinate schedules, follow-ups, and priority actions arising from meetings and discussions
    • Accompany the Chairman to selected board meetings and external engagements
    • Track and monitor key action items and ensure timely execution


    Information & Process Management


    • Improve and maintain digital data storage and information retrieval systems
    • Organise and streamline internal information flows across investments and operating businesses
    • Curate relevant business insights, updates, and reporting materials efficiently and accurately
    • Assist in implementing operational processes and workflow improvements across the office


    Research & Analysis


    • Conduct research and prepare concise written analysis on markets, industries, technologies, and companies
    • Monitor public and private investments and provide commentary on relevant developments
    • Assist with competitive analysis and assessment of market opportunities
    • Support identification of emerging technologies and trends relevant to the family office’s investment focus areas


    General Office & Project Support


    • Assist with ad hoc strategic, operational, and investment-related projects
    • Support communication and coordination with external stakeholders, advisers, and portfolio companies
    • Contribute to maintaining a professional, efficient, and collaborative office environment


    Candidate Profile


    • Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
    • Intelligent, intellectually curious, and commercially aware
    • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
    • Energetic, collaborative, and capable of operating effectively in a small-team environment
    • Self-starter with the ability to take ownership and work independently
    • Technology-native with an interest in leveraging AI and digital tools to improve efficiency and analysis
    • Strong discretion and professionalism


    Experience & Education


    • Degree from a leading university with a minimum high 2:1 or First-Class honours
    • Academic background in Business, Economics, Finance, Management, or a related discipline preferred
    • 2–3 years of post-university experience in a role involving organisational, analytical, or administrative responsibilities
    • Demonstrated interest in investing, business strategy, entrepreneurship, or financial markets
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and productivity tools
    • Experience using AI tools for research, workflow management, or analytical processes is highly desirable
