How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    THE JESSICA McCORMACK BRAND

Renowned diamond jeweller Jessica McCormack designs exceptional jewellery for the modern woman, creating heirlooms for future generations. Artfully blending modernity and timelessness, her mission is to create jewellery that generations of women will wear and adore.

Since launching in 2008, the brand has become known for effortlessly melding the traditional and the contemporary, combining Georgian techniques and expert craftsmanship with modern-day design influences, eschewing trends for a unique, heirloom-inspired aesthetic. Conscious of the demands placed on today’s modern woman, Jessica designs each piece to stand out, but also to work effortlessly within a client’s lifestyle and existing wardrobe.

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Support the Principal OOAK and High Jewellery Designer, as well as the wider design team, in the development, administration, and execution of one-of-a-kind and high jewellery pieces and collections.

The role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong visual and organisational skills, and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, gemstones, and luxury design.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist Principle Designer with development of OOAK and High Jewellery concepts from initial research through to final production.
    • Prepare design presentations, sketches, CAD briefs and other supporting visual materials.
    • Conduct research into materials, historical references, craftmanship techniques and market trends.
    • Liaise with the Workshop, Product Development and Production Departments to ensure clear communication of design intent.
    • Assist on Bespoke OOAK projects when required.
    • Maintain accurate records of designs, technical specifications and project timelines.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    Education:

    • Degree or equivalent Qualification in Jewellery Design or related discipline.

    Experience:

    • Previous experience within the luxury jewellery environment preferred.
    • Understanding of Jewellery construction.
    • Experience supporting design development and production processes.
    • Strong Adobe Creative skills; knowledge of CAD processes advantageous.
    • Gouache painting skills are a plus.
    • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

    IDEAL CANDIDATE

    • Passionate about Jewellery history, craftsmanship and design excellence.
    • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Proactive and adaptable.
    • Collaborative and a positive team player.
    • Strong visual sensibility aligned with the Jessica McCormack aesthetic.
    • Calm under pressure and able to prioritise effectively.
    • Eager to learn and grow within a luxury design environment.
