What We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from fully qualified educators as well as highly experienced artists and design instructors:
- QTS or PGCE is preferred, but extensive school-based art teaching experience and strong subject knowledge are highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Art and Design, across a variety of mediums (e.g., fine art, ceramics, textiles, digital media, or photography).
- An Enhanced DBS check (or a willingness to obtain one) and the Right to Work in the UK.
Core Expectations & Responsibilities
- Ability to build positive relationships with disengaged students and channel their energy into creative, hands-on projects.
- Confidence supporting SEND learners, ensuring artistic techniques and studio tools are adapted so every child can safely create and participate.
- Strong behavior and environment management skills to maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring studio space where students respect equipment and each other.
- A flexible teaching approach with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with school Art departments and technician staff.
