How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We've partnered with a fantastic, creative marketing agency to find a Mid-weight UX/UI Designer to join their growing digital team. This role will involve working across large-scale web, e-commerce and digital product projects for globally recognised brands.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a designer who enjoys solving UX challenges just as much as creating polished, visually engaging interfaces.

You’ll be joining a collaborative agency environment where strategy, creativity and digital experience all work closely together, giving you the chance to work on meaningful projects that combine strong design thinking with commercial impact.

The business is looking for someone who can confidently take ownership of areas of the design process, whilst still enjoying collaboration with developers, product teams and senior creatives.

    The Role

You’ll be involved across the full UX/UI process, helping to shape user journeys from early research and wireframing through to high-fidelity UI design and developer handoff.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Owning UX/UI design across key digital journeys and product features
    • Creating wireframes, prototypes and user flows
    • Designing responsive digital experiences across desktop, tablet and mobile
    • Supporting and evolving component libraries and design systems
    • Presenting concepts and design rationale to stakeholders and internal teams
    • Collaborating closely with developers, product managers and wider business teams
    • Designing experiences that balance usability with commercial performance

    What we’re looking for

    • Around 3+ years’ UX/UI design experience across digital products or platforms
    • Strong portfolio showcasing both UX thinking and polished UI execution
    • Experience designing responsive web or e-commerce experiences
    • Strong understanding of accessibility and usability best practices
    • Highly proficient in Figma and comfortable working with design systems
    • Confident communication and stakeholder presentation skills
    • Ability to manage workload independently whilst working collaboratively within a wider team

    Why apply?

    • Opportunity to work on large-scale digital and e-commerce projects
    • Strong creative and collaborative agency environment
    • Exposure to globally recognised consumer brands
    • Genuine progression and development opportunities
    • Flexible hybrid working structure
    • Modern office environment with regular socials and team events
    • Competitive salary and benefits package based on experience

    Location

This role is based in Duxford, South Cambridgeshire with hybrid working available. It's therefore easily commutable from Cambridge, Royston, Saffron Walden, Newmarket, Haverhill, Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas within Cambridgeshire, Essex or Hertfordshire.
