Locum Pharmacist, Inpatients
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Pharmacist to join a busy NHS hospital team through our agency. This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinical pharmacist looking for a rewarding locum role with competitive rates and flexible working arrangements.
The Role
You will provide ward-based clinical pharmacy services across a variety of inpatient wards, supporting multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective medicines management.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical screening of inpatient prescriptions
- Medicines reconciliation on admission and discharge
- Supporting ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Providing clinical advice to medical and nursing staff
- Ensuring safe and effective use of medicines
- Supporting discharge planning and patient counselling
Requirements
- Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Previous NHS hospital ward experience essential
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment
- Electronic prescribing system experience desirable
