How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Project Manager | Cambridge | £80,000 - £85,000

    Our client, a leading technology company based in Cambridge, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their programme management team.

    The organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee a range of cross-functional initiatives within a dynamic and evolving product development setting. The position calls for a strategic mindset and suits an individual who excels at managing uncertainty, fostering collaboration across diverse teams, and driving meaningful outcomes.

    The Role:

    +Project Delivery: Lead the end-to-end execution of multiple simultaneous product development and technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with defined scope, timelines, and budgets.

    +Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong communication channels with internal and external stakeholders, including technical teams, suppliers, and senior leadership.

    +Planning & Execution: Create and manage comprehensive project plans, allocate resources effectively, and conduct risk assessments with appropriate mitigation measures.

    +Prioritisation & Decision-Making: Balance competing demands across projects, applying sound judgment to sustain progress, quality, and overall objectives.

    Key Skills and Experience:

    +Experience of projects which have both HW and SW dependencies

    +Experience managing and delivering s/w for embedded, platform and application product solutions in an Agile environment

    +Experience with development software configuration and continuous integration workflows

    +Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and bring alignment across diverse, distributed teams.

    +Proven accountability, demonstrating ownership of project outcomes and successful delivery.

    +Understanding of the interdependencies between software and hardware elements and how to successfully deliver integrated product solutions.
