Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

An excellent opportunity is now available for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a reputable Oil and Gas company based in Aberdeen. In this role, you can expect to deliver Mechanical Engineering solutions, assist the Lead Design Engineer mentor existing team members, assist with calculation approval, generate CTR’s and input into the tendering and FEED scopes.

Responsibilities:

* Undertake Mechanical Engineering activities across projects.

* Prepare design calculations, reports, manufacturing drawings, layout drawings and associated documentation.

* Carry out mechanical analysis and calculations.

* Work closely with deign and engineering teams.

* Support and mentor less experienced team members.

* Attend meetings as required.

* Participate in sales and tendering support.

* Follow all health and safety procedures.

Required:

* Degree qualified in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.

* 5-10 years of experience in in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.

* Proficient in structural analysis tool such as MathCad or FS2000/Staad

* Experience with fabrication practices and tolerances.

Salary:

* Up to £70K
