Aspire People are working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across Stockport who are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their schools. These roles are ideal for graduates who are passionate about education and considering a future career in teaching.
About the Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students both academically and emotionally within the classroom. You'll work alongside experienced teachers, gaining valuable insight into school life and the teaching profession while making a positive difference to young people's education and wellbeing.
We are looking for graduates who:
* Hold a UK bachelor's degree (ideally in a subject related to the school curriculum or in Psychology)
* Have experience working with children or young people - this could be through school placements, tutoring, youth work, or other relevant professional experience
* Passionate about education and interested in pursuing a teaching career
* Can build positive relationships with students and staff and support pupils' learning and personal development
* Can provide references covering the last two years
* Have a current DBS certificate on the Update Service, or are willing to apply for a new one
