How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Lead Forward Deployed Engineer (Engineering Director) with a background spanning engineering, master data management, AI & architecture & platform and experience is sought by a pioneering professional services scale up based near Nottingham.

    Operating at an Engineering Director level this Lead Forward Deployed Engineer will work closely with the board to re-align and embed technology innovation with business impact to drive rapid growth.

    Sitting outside legacy business infrastructure and moving away from traditional, service delivery led engineering these individual sits at the intersection of clients, product, and engineering shaping how complex problems are solved, not just building features.

    This role would suit someone who is a disrupter by nature who by working with board level stakeholders can quickly absorb and understand the business challenges and objectives building ground up solutions which deliver results in hours, not months.

    In return this Lead Forward Deployed Engineer can expect complete autonomy to drive change, a clearly defined pathway to CTO and board understanding that success in this position if by far the biggest vehicle to business growth:

    A strong technical background spanning platform, architecture and engineering
