How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Assistant Site Financial Controller

Support site finance control, reporting and cost performance

Wolviston management Services are delighted to continue to support Tioxide in recruiting for an Assistant Site Financial Controller to join the Finance team at Greatham.

This is a key site finance role where you will support the Site Finance Controller in managing and reporting financial activity for the Greatham site, including finance operations, performance reporting, cost control, stock valuation, forecasting and financial controls.
You will play an important part in helping the site understand financial performance, manage costs, maintain accurate stock valuations and support effective decision-making across the business. The role also acts as deputy to the Site Finance Controller and is seen as a natural successor position.

    What you’ll be doing
    You will:

Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting for the Greatham site by supporting monthly, quarterly and annual close activity.
Maintain robust inventory valuation and working capital control, including finished product and work-in-progress stock.
Complete stock reconciliations, investigate variances and support physical stock checks in line with corporate controls.
Support site cost control activity, including budget setting, reporting, variance analysis, explanation and follow-up.
Contribute to accurate financial forecasts, with a focus on direct costs and clear explanation of key assumptions.
Provide finance insight to help site teams optimise decision-making, manage costs and improve cash flow.
Complete balance sheet reconciliations with appropriate evidence and commentary.
Support internal and external audit activity, ensuring information is accurate and controls are evidenced.
Assist with purchase-to-pay processes, including purchase requisitions, service entry sheets and resolving issues.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting, stock control, forecasting, reconciliations and finance processes.
Deputise for the Site Finance Controller when required, escalating key issues appropriately.
    Candidate requirements
We welcome applications from people who have:

Part-qualified accountant status, working towards CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent.
Experience in a finance, accounting, site finance, cost accounting or financial control role.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, forecasting and cost control.
    Experience supporting month-end, quarter-end or year-end reporting.
Good knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and explain variances clearly.
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
The ability to work accurately under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
Good communication skills, with confidence working with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Experience in manufacturing, process, chemical, engineering or industrial environments would be beneficial.
Experience of product costing, stock valuation, inventory control or working capital reporting would be welcomed.
SAP or other ERP system experience would be beneficial.
A commitment to accuracy, inclusion, compliance, continuous improvement and values-led behaviours.
We know people gain skills in different ways. You do not need to meet every point above to apply. If this role interests you and you believe you could make a positive contribution, we would welcome your application.

    Why join Tioxide?
Join Tioxide in a site finance role where your accounting knowledge, analytical skills and attention to detail will directly support financial control, cost performance and operational decision-making.
You will gain exposure to a complex manufacturing environment, significant site budgets and working capital, while developing towards a broader site finance leadership role.

    Diversity and inclusion
Tioxide is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels respected, valued and able to contribute. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences, including people from groups currently under-represented in finance, manufacturing and site leadership roles.

Tioxide and Wolviston Management Services are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process
