How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Maintenance Plumber – City of London

    Salary: £40,000 – £42,000
    Location: City of London
    Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Plumber to join a leading building services company working across a prestigious commercial site in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business that genuinely invests in its engineers through ongoing training, progression opportunities, and outstanding company benefits.

    The Role:

    As a Maintenance Plumber, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive plumbing works across a commercial environment. You will work as part of a professional on-site engineering team, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and safely.

    Key Duties:

    * Carrying out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance

    * Fault finding and repairing plumbing systems and plant

    * Working on hot & cold-water systems, pumps, pipework, and sanitary ware

    * Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety regulations

    * Supporting the wider engineering team when required

    * Completing maintenance reports and job sheets accurately

    Requirements:

    * NVQ / City & Guilds in Plumbing or equivalent qualification

    * Previous experience within commercial building maintenance

    * Good knowledge of plumbing systems and maintenance procedures

    * Strong fault-finding abilities

    * Excellent communication and customer service skills

    * Stable work history and a proactive attitude

    Package & Benefits:
