How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Agricultural Engineering Trainer (Full Training)

    £30,000 - £41,000 + Full Training into Teaching + Teachers' Pension + 50 Days Holiday + Benefits

    Site based, commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Chorley, Blackburn, Lancaster and surrounding areas.

    Are you from an Agricultural Engineering background looking to move into a teaching role where you can utilise your skillset to develop the next generation of agricultural engineers, taking a step off the tools with full training into a teaching environment?

    On offer is a fantastic opportunity to take a step off the tools as a Trainee or Fully Qualified Lecturer in Agricultural Engineering, with full support and training every step of the way. You'll use your industry experience to inspire and guide the next generation of agricultural engineers helping them to achieve the essential qualifications to succeed in their careers.

    Based in a forward-thinking, highly regarded college, this role offers a supportive and collaborative environment where staff development is a priority. You'll enjoy the chance to build a fulfilling teaching career, mentor students, and be part of a team that values innovation, growth, and work-life balance.

    In this role, you'll plan and deliver practical and theory lessons to full-time students and apprentices across levels, using your industry knowledge to deliver high-quality learning. You'll also mentor apprentices, assess progress, and help them develop the skills and confidence to become fully qualified.

    This role would suit an experienced Agricultural Engineer looking to take a step off the tools and move into an educational environment, where they can assist in shaping the next generation of engineers.

    The Role:
    *Deliver classroom and workshop-based lessons in Agricultural Engineering
    *Mentor and support students to develop practical skills, knowledge, and confidence
    *Mark assessments and track progress using digital systems
    *Contribute to curriculum planning, pastoral support, and learner reviews

    The Person:
    *NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Agricultural Engineering
    *Strong Industry Knowledge and Experience
    *Motivated to move into an educational setting
    *Based Commutable to Preston
