How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Warehouse Operative

    £13.22 per hour

    Clarkson Evans is the largest electrical and solar installer working in the new build housing sector, wiring over 24,000 homes a year. Established over 40 years ago, we now employ more than 850 staff across the UK and we work with the country’s major house builders.

    If you’re reliable and hardworking, you could be just the person we're looking for to play a key role in running our Trowbridge branch and supporting our electricians.

    We are looking for someone with a flexible approach but typically, you will work 5:30am – 9:30am Monday to Friday. Full training will be provided.

    Responsibilities

    This is a varied role, with your main responsibilities being:

    Picking all materials ordered from set pick lists

    Identifying and reporting discrepancies

    Monitoring and maintaining minimum stock levels

    Processing faulty items ready to be returned to suppliers

    Keeping the internal IT system updated

    Restocking shelves ready for the next day

    Receiving and checking deliveries

    Replenishing kitchen supplies

    Maintenance checks on company vehicle

    Cleaning and maintaining the branch premises

    Security and health & safety checks

    Monthly audits

    Carrying out additional tasks to support the business as required

    Requirements

    Good numeracy skills

    Must be able to commit to very early starts

    Excellent accuracy, even when under pressure

    Ability to work using own initiative

    Self-motivated with a flexible approach to working

    Reliable and able to work independently

    Organised

    A full UK manual driving licence

    Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
