We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and expanding industrial processing facility near Barking.

This role would suit an engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience who enjoys working in a practical, industrial setting and is keen to further develop their skills within a modern, process-focused facility. This is a full-time, permanent position.
What You'll Be Doing
Carry out planned preventative maintenance on plant equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, processing vessels, and digesters
Diagnose faults and troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical systems
Support reactive maintenance activities and complete maintenance records and documentation
Assist with contractor coordination and third-party servicing activities
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase plant reliability and efficiency
Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety procedures
Hours
4 on / 4 off shift pattern
12-hour rotating day and night shifts (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am)
Pay
Basic salary: £55,000, increasing to £57,000 after probation
Overtime available, with potential earnings up to £62,000 annually
Skills & Experience Required
Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent mechanical/electrical qualification
Experience within manufacturing, production, processing, or similar industrial environments
Comfortable working hands-on in industrial conditions, including working at height
Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team
