How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    My Local Authority client in Yorkshire is looking to appoint a talented Service Director for Children's Health & Wellbeing on a Permanent basis.

    This role will provide strategic leadership across a complex and evolving system. You will shape how services are delivered across health, social care, education and early help.

    About the role:

    Based in Yorkshire (hybrid):

    Lead the development of a more integrated, preventative approach to children's health & wellbeing.
    Bring together partners across the local authority, health services, VCSE and wider system.
    Ensure services are aligned and focused on improving outcomes for children & families.
    Support and drive system transformation, including strengthening commissioning approaches, delivering SEND reforms and developing sustainable models of provision.About you:
    You will have the following experiences:

    Extensive experience as a strategic leader, with successes in delivering improvement across complex children's systems.
    Strong ability to influence across organisational boundaries and lead in a complex, politically aware environment
    Experience of leading transformation at pace, managing significant budgets and resources to achieve VFM.
    Ability to travel to different locations around the district.What's on offer:

    Salary: £103,463 PA
    Hybrid Working (predominantly on site)
    Contract type: Permanent
    Hours: 09:00 -17:00 Monday to Friday
