How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Operating at the forefront of advanced aerospace technology, the business specialises in the design and manufacture of world-leading air-to-air refuelling systems, advanced refuelling probes, air-to-air and air-to-ground launch systems, and defensive aids equipment supporting some of the most advanced fixed and rotary-wing aircraft programmes globally.
With over 80 years of industry expertise, the organisation is recognised internationally as a market leader in aerospace fuel systems and next-generation air-to-air refuelling capability, supporting critical defence programmes and air forces worldwide. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly technical and safety-critical engineering environment supporting next-generation aerospace and defence capability.
    The Opportunity

Working closely with Design, Operations, Systems Safety, and Engineering teams, you will play a key role within the wider Office of Airworthiness supporting activities across UK MAA DAOS, UK CAA Part 21G & Part 145, and EASA Part 145 approved environments.
Depending on your level of experience, you may also support the development and mentoring of more junior Airworthiness Engineers within the wider team. This role would suit candidates with experience within aerospace certification, airworthiness, compliance, safety-critical engineering, or regulated aerospace environments.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Ensure designs, modifications, and repairs comply with applicable airworthiness regulations and standards
    * Prepare and review certification documentation for aerospace systems and components
    * Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
    * Provide technical guidance to engineering and operational teams regarding airworthiness matters
    * Maintain accurate records relating to airworthiness activities and certification status
    * Liaise with aviation regulatory authorities and external stakeholders
    * Support continuous improvement activities across airworthiness and certification processes
    * Work closely with Airworthiness and System Safety specialists within an integrated engineering environment
    Candidate Requirements Essential Experience
    * Previous experience within an Airworthiness, Certification, Compliance, or Aerospace Engineering role
    * Understanding of aerospace regulatory environments and certification processes
    * Knowledge of EASA, FAA, and/or UK MAA regulations
    * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
    * Ability to work within highly regulated and safety-critical engineering environments
    Desirable Experience
    * Experience working within Part 21 / Part 145 environments
    * Defence or military aerospace programme experience
    * Experience supporting certification documentation and regulatory approvals
    * Exposure to Systems Safety or Design Assurance activities
    Qualifications
    * Degree qualified in Aerospace Engineering or related engineering discipline preferred
    * Ideally 2+ years’ experience within an Airworthiness Engineering or related role
    * Candidates with equivalent industry experience will also be considered
    What’s on Offer
    * Competitive salary and benefits package
    * Flexible working hours
    * Long-term career development and progression opportunities
    * Structured training and professional development support
    * Exposure to cutting-edge aerospace and defence programmes
    * Collaborative and technically advanced engineering environment
    * Opportunity to work within a globally recognised aerospace organisation at the forefront of defence technology
    * Internal promotion and career advancement opportunities within a global engineering business
Please note: Due to the nature of the work, successful applicants will be working with US ITAR controlled technology, goods, and information and may therefore be subject to additional screening as part of the recruitment process.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious aerospace engineer looking to develop their career within a highly respected and technically advanced aerospace and defence environment
