Description
Key responsibilities:
Develop, implement and maintain Health & Safety policies, procedures and systems
Lead and deliver a structured HSE activity plan to ensure ongoing compliance
Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations
Promote a proactive safety-first culture through training, engagement and leadership
Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and maintain all relevant certifications
Implement and manage environmental systems aligned to ISO 14001 (or equivalent)
Drive sustainability initiatives, reducing waste, energy usage and environmental impact
Manage environmental compliance including waste, emissions and reporting
Collaborate with production teams to maintain Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
Lead HSE committee activity and drive continuous improvement across site
Deliver training at all levels and act as the HSE subject matter expert
Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies and suppliersProfile
The successful candidate:
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (essential)
Proven HSE experience within manufacturing or production environments
Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation
Experience implementing and managing ISO 14001 or similar systems
Skilled in risk assessment, auditing, investigations and corrective actions
Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience reporting on HSE KPIs and presenting to senior leadership
Proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for continuous improvementJob Offer
