How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Vehicle Technician - Training on Specialist Adapted Vehicles

    Castle Donington

    £36'000 - £43'000 + 5% Bonus + Training + Growing Company + Excellent Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

    Do you have experience of working on HGV's or similar large vehicles? (PCV's, Large Military Vehicles etc.) Do you have an NVQ, BTEC or equivalent qualification to support your experience?

    This company have been established for over 100 years supplying bespoke vehicles for clients in the UK and all over the world. They have grown significantly and seen great success in recent years, and have invested millions back into the business opening new sites and growing their service delivery team.

    You will be given an individual training plan to ensure that you get up to speed on all mechanical and electrical aspects of the role. You'll work closely with the depot manager and controller carrying out repairs and service work including diagnosis paths to ensure customers are kept fully updated.

    The ideal person will have worked on HGV's and completed their apprenticeship/NVQ level 3. You'll be passionate about offering the best level of service and have the ability to work independently after training.

    The Role:
    *Individual training plan

    The Person:
    *Experience of working on HGV's or other large vehicles (PCV, tankers, sweepers, Military vehicles etc.)
    *Qualifications in larger vehicles (NVQ, City and Guilds, BTEC etc.)
    *Mechanical and electrical skills
    *Self-motivated, attention to detail
