How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: Unqualified Lecturer: £29,294 per year, pro rata Qualified Lecturer: £31,885 - £40,814 per year, pro rata (Depending on Skills, Qualifications & Experience)

    What You’ll Do

    • Teach and assess learners across Early Years programmes, including full-time courses, apprenticeships, and enrichment activities
    • Deliver engaging and inclusive sessions across classroom-based and practical learning environments, linking theory to real Early Years practice
    • Support learners in developing key skills such as safeguarding, communication, child development knowledge, observation, planning, and professional practice
    • Embed current knowledge of the Early Years sector, including safeguarding, child development, SEND, equality, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing
    • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, learner support, and professionalism
    • Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement, progression, and career readiness

    What You’ll Bring

    • A Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Education, Child Development, or a related subject
    • Relevant industry experience within Early Years settings, such as nurseries, preschools, schools, family support, or childcare environments
    • Knowledge of current Early Years frameworks, safeguarding requirements, child development, and professional practice
    • Experience supporting, mentoring, coaching, or developing others in a professional setting
    • A teaching qualification is welcomed — but if you don’t have one yet, we’ll support you to achieve it while you work
