How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    People Partner (6 Month FTC)

    £38,000 - £45,000

    Home-based with some UK travel

    I’m working with a growing telecoms business looking to bring in an experienced People Partner to support the team through a particularly busy period of BAU activity alongside a number of upcoming people projects.

    Whilst this is initially a 6 month FTC the team are looking for someone who genuinely wants to become part of the business during that time - somebody hands-on, approachable and confident operating in a fast-paced environment where no two weeks will look the same. You’ll be supported by a really friendly People function and stepping into a broad generalist role with plenty of autonomy. They need somebody who can quickly build trust with managers, confidently handle employee relations matters and help take pressure off the wider team from day one.

    The role will involve a mix of:

    Day-to-day HR support and policy guidance

    Supporting disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence and performance processes

    Supporting redundancy consultation activity

    Maternity/paternity meetings and employee welfare support

    Coaching and guiding managers

    Supporting ongoing people-focused projects

    Maintaining accurate HR documentation and systems

    Telecoms experience isn’t essential. What matters more is your ability to build relationships, work proactively and confidently manage a varied HR workload with minimal supervision. To do this we would be looking for you to be CIPD Level 5 qualified and have at least 3 years HR Generalist experience.
