How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Lincat – Materials Control Coordinator

    About Us

Lincat is a thriving manufacturing business, one of the world's leading names in commercial catering equipment with over 50 years’ experience delivering world-class innovation and product quality to its extensive customer base. Our company manufactures 50,000 products each year and exports to over 80 countries. We have great products, great people and great customers.

    About the Role

We are looking for a Materials Control Coordinator to join our Procurement team at Lincat. You will become part of a small, experienced team responsible for ensuring all production component requirements are met by working to forecasts and production plans.

The role involves placing and scheduling orders, coordinating deliveries and responding to production changes, which may require challenging suppliers to deliver outside of standard lead times. You will also be responsible for managing stock levels in line with global guidelines while supporting the smooth and efficient running of the supply chain operation.

    Hours of work

This role is based on 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.

    Key Areas of Responsibility:

    * Successfully expedite shipment of components to meet production requirements by communicating effectively and building strong relationships with suppliers.

    * Managing order books to ensure deliveries are made on time and in full through regular contact with suppliers worldwide via telephone and email.

    * Continually analyse component demand and take appropriate action to ensure production and spare parts orders are fulfilled.

    * Proactively anticipate and communicate potential component shortages to appropriate colleagues.

    * Review and place purchase order requirements using the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.

    * Place and administer works order requirements.

    * Handle day-to-day component queries, stock adjustments and general administration duties.

    * Attend weekly shortage meeting and report risks to the production team.

    * Support team members as and when required with materials control objectives.

    Essential Skills and Knowledge:

    * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external contacts via telephone, email, and face-to-face communication.

    * Ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

    * Able to work proactively and on own initiative to identify and prioritise workload, while recognising when to seek advice or support.

    * Strong attention to detail, with a good standard of written and spoken English and numeracy skills.

    * Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software as required.

    * Previous general administration experience
