Role: Oracle Ledger Workstream Lead
Duration: 10 month contract
Pay: £(Apply online only) p/day (Outside IR35)
Location: Bristol (1 / 2 days onsite)This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can combine deep Oracle Fusion Financials expertise with strong accounting knowledge (IFRS + local GAAP, plus M&A exposure), and who can operate at pace in an entrepreneurial, fast-changing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Secondary Ledgers workstream end-to-end within an Oracle Fusion deployment (scope, delivery, risks, outcomes).
Act as the SME for Oracle Fusion GL, Secondary Ledgers, and Subledger Accounting (SLA).
Drive decisions quickly, balancing best practice with pragmatism and delivery timelines.
Define the global secondary ledger strategy to enable:
Multi-GAAP reporting (e.g., IFRS, European local statutory requirements, Canada GAAP)
Rapid entry into new jurisdictions
Scalable finance operations supporting global growth and acquisition activity
Design and implement:
Secondary ledgers vs reporting currency approach
Conversion levels (subledger, journal, balance)
Ledger + legal entity structures optimised for expansion
Lead SLA rule design to support automated accounting transformations and adjustments.
Partner with Group Finance, Technical Accounting, Controllership, and regional finance leaders.
Oversee and contribute to configuration of:
Secondary Ledgers in Oracle Fusion
Accounting Methods and SLA setups
Ledger sets and reporting structuresTo succeed, you'll need to be someone who can design the ledger setup, pressure test it with real-world finance scenarios, and make pragmatic decisions that avoid over-engineering while still meeting control and reporting requirements.
Key Requirements:
Strong Oracle FusionFinancials experience, specifically:
General Ledger
Secondary Ledgers
Subledger Accounting (SLA)
Strong accounting grounding:
IFRS
Experience working across multiple GAAPs and statutory requirements
Comfortable in multi-currency, multi-entity environments
Proven workstream leadership in Oracle Fusion implementations (able to own delivery, not just advise)
Accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
M&A / integration experience in fast-growth international environments
Exposure to Oracle reporting / FCCS
Background in PE-backed / scale-up / entrepreneurial organisationsThis role require will need someone who is forward thinking, comfortable taking ownership, and able to stay calm under pressure while driving decisions through ambiguity.
