We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Team Leader of Design Technology to lead and develop a successful DT provision while delivering high-quality teaching across Design Technology and Food & Nutrition.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established teacher or current middle leader looking to take the next step within a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school environment.

As Team Leader, you will play a key role in driving standards, developing curriculum, supporting colleagues, and ensuring students receive an engaging and ambitious learning experience.

The role:

* Lead and manage the Design Technology department

* Deliver engaging lessons across Design Technology and Food & Nutrition

* Develop curriculum planning and department strategy

* Monitor progress and raise attainment across the subject area

* Support and develop colleagues within the department

* Support and develop teaching staff across the department

* Create an inclusive, safe and inspiring learning environment

* Contribute to wider school improvement initiatives

We are looking for someone who:

* Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

* Has experience teaching Design Technology and Food & Nutrition at secondary level

* Has a strong track record of securing positive outcomes for students

* Demonstrates leadership capability and the ability to motivate a team

* Has excellent organisation, communication and relationship-building skills

* Is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning
