How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Tile: Service Advisor

    Location: Shrewsbury

    Salary: Up to £28,585 + Bonus

    Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:30pm

    * 1-hour lunch break

    * Saturday mornings on a rota basis: 8:30am – 12:30pm (paid at overtime rate)

    Hawkfield Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Advisor to join a well-established, family-run main dealership group within the Shrewsbury area.

    You will be joining a successful aftersales team within a business that prides itself on outstanding customer service, excellent staff retention, and long-term career development.

    This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced Service Advisor or a strong customer service professional looking to progress within the automotive industry. Full manufacturer and in-house training will be provided to ensure you reach the high standards expected.

    Responsibilities of the Service Advisor:

    * Booking vehicles in for service, maintenance, and repair work

    * Greeting customers both face-to-face and over the telephone

    * Recording customer requirements in a professional and polite manner

    * Arranging courtesy/service loan vehicles

    * Producing customer invoices and associated paperwork

    * Keeping customers updated throughout the service process

    * Liaising closely with the workshop and other internal departments

    * Delivering exceptional levels of customer service at all times

    What We’re Looking For:

    * Previous experience within a Service Advisor or customer service role

    * Excellent communication and organisational skills

    * Strong attention to detail

    * Ability to work well within a team environment

    * Passion for delivering high levels of customer satisfaction

    * Full UK Driving Licence
