How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Rate: Competitive Daily Rate

    About the Job

    As a Freelance Employability Tutor – Warehousing & Logistics, you will deliver engaging, hands-on training to adult learners across employability and vocational programmes within Derby and the wider East Midlands region.

    You’ll support learners in developing industry knowledge, practical warehouse skills, and workplace behaviours required to secure employment within logistics and supply chain environments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Deliver training in warehouse operations, logistics, stock control, manual handling, and workplace health & safety

    * Support learners working towards Level 1 and Level 2 Warehouse & Storage qualifications

    * Embed employability skills including teamwork, communication, and workplace readiness

    * Deliver engaging sessions aligned to employer expectations and industry standards

    * Assess learner progress and maintain compliant learner documentation

    * Mentor and motivate learners to build confidence and achieve positive outcomes

    * Ensure delivery aligns with AEB funding requirements, quality standards, and learner progression targets

    * Support learners into employment opportunities and career progression pathways

    Ideal Candidate

    You’ll be an experienced Warehouse, Logistics, or Supply Chain professional with a passion for training, mentoring, and supporting adults into work.

    You will have:

    * Experience within warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environments

    * Experience delivering training, employability programmes, or adult learning provision

    * Strong understanding of warehouse operations and health & safety procedures

    * A recognised teaching or assessing qualification such as AET, PTLLS, DET, DTLLS, TAQA, or equivalent

    * Excellent communication and learner engagement skills

    * Ability to motivate and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds

    * Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

    Desirable:

    * Experience delivering AEB-funded or DWP-funded employability programmes

    * Previous hands-on experience within warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations

    * Knowledge of Ofsted standards and funded education frameworks
