Operations Director - The Company:
Our client is a leading structured cabling and technology infrastructure contractor delivering high-profile projects across London and the South East.
Specialising in large-scale commercial new build and Cat A / Cat B fit out projects, the business works with some of the UK’s leading main contractors, developers and end users, delivering complex structured cabling and smart building solutions within flagship commercial developments and corporate HQ environments.
Projects are typically fast-paced, technically demanding and highly design-led, involving modern workplace environments, intelligent building systems and critical technology infrastructure across large commercial office schemes.
With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth across the London market, the company is looking to appoint an experienced Operations Director to lead delivery across multiple live projects and support the next phase of expansion.
Operations Director - The Role:
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager, Operations Director, Project Director or senior operational leader within the structured cabling / technology infrastructure sector to join the leadership team.
Based in London, you will oversee the operational delivery of multiple large-scale structured cabling projects across commercial new build and high-end fit out developments, leading project teams from pre-construction through to delivery and completion.
You will work closely with clients, main contractors, commercial teams and senior management to ensure projects are delivered safely, commercially and to programme, while helping drive operational standards and business performance.
Typical duties will include:
* Leading operational delivery across multiple structured cabling and smart building projects
* Managing Project Managers and site delivery teams across London and the South East
* Overseeing programme performance, quality and client relationships
* Supporting pre-construction, bid strategy and work-winning activity
* Working closely with commercial teams on project performance and profitability
* Driving operational improvements, processes and delivery standards
* Supporting recruitment, team development and business growth
* Maintaining strong relationships with Tier 1 contractors, consultants and end clients
Operations Director - The Person:
You will have a strong background within structured cabling, smart buildings, telecoms infrastructure or technology-enabled construction projects.
You will ideally have experience delivering large commercial office developments, headquarters buildings and Cat A / Cat B fit out schemes within London.
* Proven experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
* Strong leadership experience managing operational and project delivery teams
* Background delivering structured cabling within commercial new build and fit out environments
* Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
* Commercially aware with strong programme and delivery understanding
* Experience working alongside Tier 1 main contractors and major developers
* Ambitious, driven and capable of operating within a senior leadership role
