How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Slitting Operator - Permanent Role

    Elsham, near Brigg
    £30,379 + overtime + quarterly bonus
    4 on / 4 off shifts (2 days / 2 nights)

    We're recruiting for an experienced Slitting Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business supplying packaging solutions into the healthcare sector.
    This is a permanent opportunity offering excellent earning potential, long-term stability, and a great shift pattern that provides regular time off throughout the month.

    What you'll be doing:

    · Setting and operating slitting/converting machinery
    · Monitoring product quality and production output
    · Completing production documentation accurately
    · Troubleshooting minor machine issues
    · Maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards

    What we're looking for:

    · Previous experience operating slitting machinery within a manufacturing or production environment
    · Confident setting and operating converting/slitting equipment
    · Strong attention to quality and safety standards
    · Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (06:00-18:00/18:00-06:00)
    · Own transport due to site location
