About the Role:
Our client is a well-established property maintenance and compliance contractor delivering high-quality repairs, refurbishment, and planned maintenance services across the social housing and public sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking experienced General Builders / Multi Traders to support their void property refurbishment programme.
This role involves preparing vacant social housing properties to a lettable standard through efficient, high-quality repairs and refurbishment works.
The Role:
We are looking for skilled and reliable General Builders / Multi Traders with experience in void repairs, housing maintenance, or social housing refurbishment.
You will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of maintenance and building tasks within void properties, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with client specifications and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:
* Carrying out void property repairs and refurbishment works
* General building maintenance and multi-trade repairs
* Basic carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating, and making good works
* Kitchen and bathroom repairs, replacements, and minor installations
* Flooring repairs, patching, and installations
* Internal and external property maintenance works
* Ensuring void properties are brought up to lettable standard within required timescales
* Diagnosing faults and completing repairs on first visit where possible
* Maintaining high standards of workmanship, health & safety, and housekeeping
* Accurately completing job reports and communicating effectively with supervisors and tenants where required
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Multi Trader / General Builder / Void Operative / Property Maintenance Operative
* Strong multi-trade background covering several disciplines (carpentry, plumbing, decorating, plastering etc.)
* Previous experience within social housing, voids, reactive maintenance, or housing refurbishment
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Good communication skills and professional attitude
Desirable (Not Essential):
* NVQ / City & Guilds qualification in a relevant trade
* CSCS Card
* Experience working within housing associations, local authority contracts, or social housing maintenance
* Knowledge of health & safety procedures within occupied and void housing environments
