EC&I Engineer

We’re looking for a talented and motivated EC&I Engineer to join our growing team at MARCH. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects across regulated and process-driven industries, contributing to innovative engineering solutions while developing your technical expertise.
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical and control system designs, supporting projects from concept through to commissioning in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality electrical and control designs, maintaining consistency and best practice standards throughout
Review client documentation (P&IDs, URS, I/O lists, instrument schedules) to define system requirements
Conduct site surveys to assess and develop integration solutions
Specify and support the design of control panels, liaising closely with workshop teams
Work across a range of technologies, including PLCs, HMIs, and drives (both modern and legacy systems)
Produce detailed technical documentation (I/O schedules, hardware specs, cable and termination schedules)
Specify and cost electrical equipment and hardware
Review and approve electrical schematics to ensure compliance and functionality
Support FAT/PDI testing and validation against client requirements
Supervise site activities and coordinate subcontractors
Test and commission systems safely within live operational environments
Ensure compliance with company processes and the Integrated Management System
Skills, Experiences & Qualifications:
HNC (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 5 years’ experience in controls and automation
Experience across industries such as Food & Beverage, Pharma, Water, Chemical, or Process
Variable Speed Drives (specification, configuration, commissioning)
Motor starters (DOL, Star/Delta, Soft Start)
BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations
BS EN (phone number removed) Machinery Safety Standards
Functional Safety (ISO EN(phone number removed) / IEC 62061) – desirable
SSSTS – desirable
Strong technical problem-solving ability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
