Workshop Support Operative

We have an exciting opportunity for a  Workshop Support Operative based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis. 

Summary of the Workshop Support Operative role 

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 
Location: Bedford 
Type of Contract: Permanent   
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8.15am-4.45pm, Friday 8.15am-1.45pm

Responsibilities of the Workshop Support Operative

Assist with pressure testing of various pump components
 Assist with rigging and derigging
 Prepare pumps for dispatch
 Assist with general operation activities
Use overhead cranes and forklift trucks to move large and heavy items
Loading and unloading of vehicles
Collection and delivery of smaller parts
Requirements for a successful Workshop Support Operative

Experience working within a similar mechanical assembly environment
 Full UK driving license
Qualified overhead crane and forklift user
Good verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Proactive and willingness to learn and develop technical skills
