How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Assistant Site Manager

We're working with a well-respected residential developer known for delivering high-quality, thoughtfully designed homes to find an experienced Assistant Site Manager for a traditional build development in Sussex.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of site operations and wants to work within a business that places genuine importance on build quality, presentation, customer experience, and team culture.

You'll be supporting a Project Manager and Site Manager on a traditional build scheme, taking part in the day-to-day running of the development while continuing to develop your own career within a structured and supportive environment.

    What You'll Be Doing

This role would suit someone who likes to stay close to the detail of a job while still keeping the bigger picture in mind.

Supporting the day-to-day management of a traditional build residential development
Coordinating trades and subcontractors to keep the programme moving efficiently
Maintaining high standards across quality, health & safety, and site presentation
Assisting with NHBC inspections and ensuring works are completed to the expected standard
Monitoring progress on plots and helping drive production targets
Building strong working relationships across site teams and subcontractors
Supporting the customer journey by ensuring homes are handed over to a high standard

    What We're Looking For

Experience working as an Assistant Site Manager within residential housebuilding
A well-rounded background across traditional build developments
Strong understanding of NHBC standards and inspection processes
Someone organised, proactive, and confident managing day-to-day site activities
A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop further
Experience working with either a PLC developer or quality-focused regional housebuilder

    What's On Offer

    Up to £55,000 basic salary
    Competitive package + bonus
    Long-term opportunity with a well-established developer
Supportive site structure and career progression opportunities
A development focused on quality rather than volume alone

This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager who wants to be part of a well-run site, work within a strong team environment, and continue progressing their career with a respected developer.
