How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    External Contracts Manager
    📍 Eastleigh / Bracknell / Yeovil
    💷 Up to £48,383 per annum (DOE)
    🕒 37 hours per week
    📄 Permanent | Full Time

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced External Contracts Manager to join a busy Property Care team within a leading Housing Association.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge and contractor management experience to take ownership of a major roofing programme alongside a range of externally delivered maintenance contracts including windows, doors, roofing and external works projects.

    The Role

    Managing externally sourced maintenance and refurbishment contracts
    Overseeing roofing replacement programmes and specialist external works
    Ensuring contractors deliver works to agreed quality, budget and timescales
    Building strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders while driving service improvements
    Monitoring financial, contractual and compliance performance
    Managing specialist maintenance projects requiring technical expertise
    Attending sites, contractor meetings and office collaboration days across the region
    About You

    Experience working within a Housing Association or social housing environment
    Strong technical understanding of property maintenance and external works
    Experience managing contractors, programmes and project delivery
    Confident challenging performance and driving continuous improvement
    Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
    Organised with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
    Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the region
