We are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Hackney, supporting students aged 11 to 17 with a range of special educational needs and/or disabilities.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will:
Support students with special educational needs and/or disabilities
Work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver individualised support
Help students engage with learning and classroom activities
Provide emotional, social, and behavioural support where needed
Promote independence, confidence, and positive routines
Support students both in class and during wider school activities
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable
Experience in a school, care, youth work, or specialist provision would be beneficial
A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Must have the right to work in the UK
Must hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one

£95.00 - £100.00 per day
