How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Day Shift Engineer – Canary Wharf

    Location: Canary Wharf
    Salary: £50,500 All-In Package + Overtime
    Shift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off – Days Only (7:00am – 7:00pm)

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Day Shift Engineer to join a prestigious commercial site based in Canary Wharf. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-profile building for a well-established company offering long-term stability, outstanding benefits, training, and genuine career progression.

    This role is ideal for an electrically qualified engineer looking for a days-only position within a professional and modern environment.

    The Role

    As an Electrical Day Shift Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

    * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance

    * Fault finding and repair on electrical systems and associated building services equipment

    * Maintaining lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution, UPS systems, AHUs, FCUs, pumps and motors

    * Ensuring all statutory compliance and health & safety procedures are followed

    * Supporting subcontractors and specialist engineers on site

    * Completing maintenance reports and updating CAFM systems

    * Providing excellent service within a client-facing environment

    Requirements

    * City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent

    * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

    * Experience working within commercial building maintenance

    * Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills

    * Good communication and organisational abilities

    * Stable work history and a proactive attitude
