How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant / Support Staff Opportunities – Buckingham

    Primary, Secondary, and Special Needs Schools in and around Buckingham

    Supply Desk, in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council, is currently recruiting passionate and dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistants to support students in schools located in Buckingham and the surrounding areas. As a trusted education recruitment specialist, we offer rewarding opportunities for individuals who are committed to helping students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) succeed in the classroom.

    About the Role

    We are looking for caring and motivated individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. In this role, you will work one-to-one with pupils who require additional support due to special educational needs, helping them engage in learning and develop confidence.

    You may support students with needs such as:

    Autism (ASC)
    ADHD
    Dyslexia
    Learning difficulties
    Social, emotional and behavioural needs
    Whether you already have experience supporting children with SEN or you are looking to begin your career in education, our consultants will work with you to place you in schools within Buckingham and nearby communities that best suit your skills and availability.

    Requirements

    Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
    Understanding of Special Educational Needs and inclusive support strategies
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    Ability to support positive behaviour and engagement in learning
    Patience, empathy, and a supportive attitude
    Flexibility to work in different school settings in Buckingham
