The Role - Immediate Requirement
We are looking for an experienced AutoCAD Draftsperson who is available to start immediately. This is a fast-paced role where you will be producing accurate, buildable drawings for live projects already in production.
You will be a key part of the team, turning creative concepts into technical drawing packages that can be delivered straight to the workshop floor.
Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed 2D construction drawings and 3D models from concept to fabrication
Translate creative briefs, sketches, and specifications into accurate CAD drawings
Work closely with designers, project managers, and workshop teams
Ensure drawings are practical and reflect real-world build constraints
Create structural details and assembly drawings for bespoke scenic elements
Update and manage drawing packages as projects progress
Attend site surveys and installations where required
Maintain drawing registers, version control, and file management across multiple projects
Requirements
Proven AutoCAD experience is essential
Strong understanding of construction drawings (this is not a design role)
Experience working with scenic builds, set construction, or similar environments
Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines
Confident communicator across technical and creative teams
Experience with SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, or SolidWorks is advantageous
The Opportunity
This is an urgent hire for a 4-6-week contract, with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate. You will be based at our Croydon HQ, with some travel to project sites as required.
