How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Hours of work: Three week rotating shift system. Day shift 6.00am - 6.15pm, Night Shift 6.00pm - 6.15am Monday - Friday, on average 40.833 hours per week

    Responsible for effectively and efficiently responding to and dealing with site maintenance issues in terms of machine breakdowns and in line with the site’s Preventative Maintenance schedule whilst adhering to Health, safety & environment requirements.

    The main engineering duties are as follows:

    * Respond to servicing, repairing and maintaining the machinery across the site in line with the Preventative Maintenance programme.

    * Use Engineering maintenance database (Shire System) for all recording and scheduling of engineering works

    * Attend to breakdowns across the site as and when required, in a timely manner.

    * Be available, as and when required, on call to attend to urgent breakdowns.

    * Assist in installations of new machinery or relocation of existing machines across the site.

    * Undertake any other activity appropriate to your role as a Shift Maintenance Engineer.

    * Ensure an efficient handover to the following shift to ensure smooth continuous production of jobs.

    * Ensuring that the area, equipment and machinery are kept clean and tidy and in accordance with the relevant procedures during shift.

    * Report machine breakdowns to the Shift Manager / Co-ordinator as soon as possible after they occur whilst striving to ensure minimum disruption to the team.

    * Assist in the general preventative maintenance of the machine.
