How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Company:

    An established and growing manufacturing business is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Supply Chain Director to lead and transform its end-to-end supply chain operation.

    This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for developing a resilient, efficient and scalable supply chain strategy that supports operational excellence, customer satisfaction and long-term business growth. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping procurement, planning, logistics, inventory management and supplier performance across a complex manufacturing environment.

    The business is looking for a confident and credible leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on operational delivery.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Develop and implement a high-performing supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives

    * Lead procurement, planning, warehousing, logistics and inventory functions across multiple sites

    * Build strong supplier relationships whilst improving cost, quality, delivery and risk management performance

    * Drive operational efficiencies, continuous improvement initiatives and service excellence throughout the supply chain

    * Improve forecasting, demand planning and stock optimisation processes

    * Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, finance and commercial teams to support business priorities

    * Lead and develop a capable supply chain team, fostering accountability, collaboration and high performance

    * Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring resilience and continuity of supply

    * Support strategic growth initiatives, including new product introduction and operational expansion

    * Deliver meaningful reporting and insights to the senior leadership team

    Profile:

    The ideal candidate will be an accomplished supply chain leader with significant experience within manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments.

    You will demonstrate:

    * Proven success in a senior supply chain leadership position

    * Strong strategic planning and operational execution capability

    * Experience managing complex supplier networks and international supply chains

    * Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills

    * A track record of delivering measurable improvements in cost, efficiency and service performance

    * Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

    * The ability to influence at executive level and lead organisational change

    * Experience within fast-paced manufacturing or engineering sectors would be highly advantageous

    * Degree qualified or professionally accredited within supply chain, operations or a related discipline
