We're recruiting a Customs Clearance Operator to join one of our clients based out of Burntwood. This is a great opportunity for someone with customs knowledge looking to develop their career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process import and export customs clearances across air, sea and road freight
Complete and submit declarations accurately and within required timeframes
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth shipment processing
Check and manage all required customs documentation, resolving any issues
Calculate duties and taxes and ensure timely clearance of shipments
Provide regular updates and excellent service to customers
Manage shared inbox enquiries efficiently as part of the teamRequirements
Previous experience in customs clearance (imports/exports) for a UK based freight forwarder
Good understanding of UK/EU customs procedures and documentation
Familiarity with systems such as CDS, NCTS or Destin8 is advantageous
Knowledge of Incoterms and the freight industry
