How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Manufacturing Technician | £30,000 + Benefits

A fast-paced, well-established manufacturing business is looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to join their team in Didcot to support production, troubleshoot issues on the line and help keep manufacturing running efficiently day-to-day.

Looking for somebody with a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a willingness to get involved. The role would suit somebody from a manufacturing, assembly, production or electromechanical background who enjoys practical problem solving and working closely with people on the shop floor.

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will:

    * Work on assembly and production support activities

    * Troubleshoot issues as they arise on the line

    * Wiring, soldering and mechanical assembly work

    * Follow engineering drawings and work instructions

    * Support testing and quality checks

    * Work closely with engineers and production staff

Skills required from the Manufacturing Technician:

    * Manufacturing or production environment experience

    * Assembly or electromechanical work experience

    * Soldering, wiring or crimping skills

    * Testing, rework or troubleshooting skills

    * Working from technical drawings/instructions

The company are very open to training and developing the right person, so this does not need to be a fully formed “plug-and-play” technician. Attitude, adaptability and willingness to learn are just as important as technical background. Excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing business with long-term progression opportunities.

If you are a Manufacturing Technician, suitable and interested in this role, APPLY NOW with an up-to-date CV. We also pay referral fees if you can suggest another suitable person that isn’t already known to us.
