How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We’re Hiring: Technical Services Manager (Mechanical or Electrical) – Healthcare 🏥 🔧

    📍 Ilford, East London
    💷 £60,000 – £65,000 + Benefits
    🕒 Monday to Friday | 08:00 – 17:00

    We’re working with a well-established Facilities Management provider to recruit a Mechanical Services Manager (or Electrical) for a busy healthcare site in East London. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality engineering services within a critical hospital environment.

    You’ll act as the technical lead for your discipline while managing on-site engineers and ensuring compliance across all operations. This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise, leadership, and operational oversight.

    🔧 What you’ll be doing:
    ✔️ Leading technical service delivery across the healthcare site
    ✔️ Acting as the subject matter expert for Mechanical or Electrical services 🔧
    ✔️ Managing and supporting engineers and specialist subcontractors
    ✔️ Overseeing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
    ✔️ Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and HTM standards 🏥
    ✔️ Managing work in progress, reporting, and overall site performance
    ✔️ Driving continuous improvement across engineering operations

    👷 What we’re looking for:
    • Proven experience in a Technical Services Manager or M&E Manager role
    • Strong background in facilities management or building services
    • Experience working in healthcare or critical environments (desirable) 🏥
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills
    • Strong knowledge of compliance, statutory regulations, and HTMs
    • Ability to lead from the front and manage multiple priorities

    ⭐ Desirable:
    • Mechanical or Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
    • AP/CP or supervisory experience
    • Experience managing large-scale FM contracts
