The role involves basic electrical works alongside general maintenance duties to ensure the building and its systems remain safe, functional, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out minor electrical installations (e.g. sockets, switches, lighting fittings)
* Diagnose and rectify electrical faults, including power loss and tripped breakers
* Perform repairs to lighting systems and other electrical equipment
* Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), including emergency lighting flick tests and basic inspections
* Respond to reactive maintenance issues in a timely manner
* Complete basic non-electrical maintenance tasks such as:
* Repairing automatic soap dispensers
* Fixing minor plumbing items (e.g. taps)
* General building fabric repairs where required
* Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with relevant regulations and site procedures
* Maintain clear and accurate records of work completed
Requirements:
* Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent)
* Basic fault-finding and maintenance experience
* Good understanding of health and safety practices
* Flexible and proactive approach to a variety of maintenance tasks
