The Opportunity
We are partnering with a well‑established self‑storage company to recruit a confident, customer‑focused Assistant Manager for their Southampton store. This is a permanent position offering stability, variety, and the chance to play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the site.
In this role, you will report directly to the Store Manager, supporting them with customer service, sales, and operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer support — welcoming customers, understanding their needs, and recommending suitable storage solutions
Sales growth — converting enquiries, following up leads, and helping the store achieve its targets
Store operations — ensuring units and communal areas are clean, secure, and ready for use
Administration — managing bookings, contracts, payments, and customer records
Manager support — assisting the Store Manager with reporting, site standards, and daily operations
What We’re Looking For
Confident, friendly communicator with strong customer‑facing skills
Experience in retail, customer service, or sales
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Proactive, hands‑on approach to work
Comfortable working Monday–Friday with one weekend in every three
Able to work closely with and support the Store Manager
