How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Treloar’s is a charity that provides outstanding education, therapy and care to physically disabled young people, and empowers them to live more independent and fulfilling lives.

You will be based in a busy health centre within the school and college. Working with GPs, other pharmacy technicians and a large team of nurses, therapists and care staff, you will use your skills to support GPs, transcribe medicines onto our electronic system, manage stock and storage, and share the responsibility for medicine audits across the 6 boarding houses, and classrooms. You must have an enthusiasm for detail, be comfortable with giving advice without pharmacist support, problem solving using a range of medicine resources, and communicating with a wide range of people.
    Candidates must be a qualified Pharmacy Technician with a BTEC/NVQ 3 (or equivalent pharmacy technician qualification) in Pharmaceutical Sciences in addition to having an active registration with the GPhC.
    We offer –
    * Term time only (mostly Mon to Fri) (full time hours approx. 0800 to 1700)
    * Up to 2 weeks working in the school/college holidays to be taken as TOIL in term time (only if required)
    * Level 4 pharmacy specific training opportunities
    Additional benefits –
    * Excellent training and development opportunities
    * Life insurance, Critical Illness Cover, Pension & Occupational Health schemes
    * Health Cash Plan & Perkbox discount scheme
    * Free wellbeing activities (e.g., gym/yoga/Pilates)
    * Free parking & many other benefits
