How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mobile Multiskilled Facilities Maintenance Engineer

    About the Role

    Are you a skilled and versatile Facilities Maintenance Engineer seeking your next challenge? We are looking for a proactive and experienced Mobile Multiskilled Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team, working across a variety of commercial sites in Sheffield. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering high-quality maintenance solutions, this is the role for you.

    Key Responsibilities

    Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across multiple client sites in Sheffield.
    Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building fabric systems.
    Perform general building maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, and decorating as required.
    Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with health & safety regulations.
    Respond promptly to emergency call outs and provide excellent customer service at all times.
    Complete accurate job reports, documentation, and communicate effectively with clients and the helpdesk team.

    About You

    Qualified in a core trade (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC) with City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or above.
    Proven experience in facilities maintenance within commercial environments.
    Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
    Full UK driving licence (essential).
    Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    Flexible, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
