How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electronics Engineer

    Location: Sandwich, Kent

    Salary: Circa 35k-45k + Bonus + Benefits

A lot of electronics engineering roles at the moment seem to read like they want one person to do absolutely everything

    This isn’t one of those

This role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on with electronics manufacturing and problem solving, someone who likes understanding why products fail, how processes can be improved and how new products can be introduced properly into production.

You’ll be joining a well-established engineering and manufacturing business working on advanced electronic and electromechanical systems within a highly technical environment.

The work is varied and sits between engineering, manufacturing and production support rather than being purely office-based documentation work or repetitive test work.

    You’ll be involved with:

    * Supporting new product introduction (NPI) into manufacture

    * Fault finding and root-cause analysis on electronic systems

    * Improving manufacturing and production processes

    * Developing test equipment, jigs and fixtures

    * Supporting build documentation and work instructions

    * Working closely with design and production teams to improve manufacturability and reliability

The environment would suit someone coming from an electronics manufacturing, production engineering, test engineering or technical support background who wants broader exposure and the opportunity to get involved across the full product lifecycle.

    Experience of interest:

    * Electronics manufacturing or production engineering experience

    * Electronic fault-finding experience

    * Understanding of manufacturing or production processes

    * Experience supporting NPI, DFM or continuous improvement activities would be beneficial

    * PCB, test equipment or instrumentation exposure would be advantageous

Tremendous opportunity offering plenty of scope for career progression in a friendly, innovative environment!
