How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An established not-for-profit organisation located on the outskirts of Havant, Hampshire is seeking an experienced Interim Director of HR to lead their HR function on a part-time basis.

    This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape HR strategy in a dynamic environment, where innovative approaches and staff wellbeing are key. With flexibility around working hours and location, this is a chance to make a meaningful impact on the organisation’s people strategy during a pivotal period.

    What will the Interim Director of HR role involve?

    Providing strategic leadership to the executive team and wider HR function, focusing on recruitment, retention, talent management, and absence reduction
    Leading initiatives to enhance staff wellbeing and reduce associated costs, including sickness absence
    Supporting organisational change and improvement projects aligned with long-term goals
    Collaborating closely with trustees and senior leaders to formalise HR policies and ensure compliance
    Managing ongoing HR projects, ensuring smooth implementation within a fast-paced environment
    Suitable candidate for the Interim Director of HR vacancy:

    Demonstrates significant experience within not-for-profit or public sector settings, with a track record of leading HR functions at a senior level
    Skilled in talent management, recruitment improvements, and staff retention strategies
    Confident working independently, with excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
    Possesses strong knowledge of HR legislation, best practice, and change management in complex settings
    Adaptable and proactive, able to start quickly and deliver against short-term project deadlines
    Additional information for the Interim Director of HR role:

    Interim, part-time opportunity (c. 2–3 days per week)
